ABOUT ABOUT

JOIN US SATURDAY, APRIL 13, 2019

Casa Youth Shelter's annual Reality Party aims to promote social change regarding underage and binge drinking, impaired driving, marijuana, prescription drug misuse, and other concerns using improvisation and interactive techniques. These methods are used to engage discussion, explore issues, and develop personal and community solutions.

Attendees engage in a tour through a mock “teen drinking party” to become more aware and understand the very real concerns teens face. High school volunteers from Casa Youth Shelter’s Youth Leadership Program follow a script acting out realistic scenes and powerful events that depict overindulgent drinking games, relentless peer pressure, and other current alcohol and drug trends.

Immediately following, a Q&A session is conducted by local law enforcement, drug and alcohol experts, and other professionals who discuss prevention and intervention strategies and how to best support our youth in making healthy and safe choices.

In order to preserve the privacy of the homeowners, we respectfully keep the location undisclosed except to registrants.

Must be 21+ to attend.
